ok i have won 1st place trophies in every cup i can.but every single time i win i get an "A" rank.how do i get stars?

Just race a bit better.

1 star: make some mistakes, race causally, fall off the track 3-4 times, get above at least 50 points

 

 

 

2 stars: make a few mistakes, race carefully, fall off the track 1-2 times, get above 53 points.

 

 

 

3 stars: make a little to NO mistakes, race gracefully, never fall off the track (though slight chance you can fall off once), and get all 60 points.

 

 

 

as a 3 stars mario karter, i found this kind of easy but long.

I have to disagree with it being that simple; on multiple GP's I have never fallen off the track, never hit anything (been hit by items like blue shells, red shells, etc) and gotten 60 points still only got 2 star and was in first the entire time. I even did a lot of tricks also..

I hate attempting 3-stars in Mario Kart Wii.

 

 

 

But yeah, best way to geta star:

 

 

 

-Don't hit obstacles

 

-Don't go off-road (besides when using mushroom boosts and the like)

 

-Don't fall off the track (i.e. into lava, water, bottomless pits, etc.)

 

-Make 1st place every race

 

 

 

Doing this basically guarentees you a star. but for a one-star, you can afford 2nd place once or twice (though it reduces your chances)
