Bronze Knives v. Iron Knives

Featured Replies

Does using iron knives have any advantage over using bronze knives at yaks? I just tried 100 of each and my max hit was 6(!) with both. I would have expected to hit a bit harder with iron knives, but I didn't.

In case it's relevant, I have level 53 range, wore full blue d-hide, archer helm, snakeskin boots, and Ava's accumulator. I didn't use any range potion.

iron knive has +1 range bonus over bronze

the max would only change of 1 max hit more

that only happens at like lvl 90s though

The iron knives probably hit that max hit much more often than bronze knives. Test it out.

Thanks to all those who have messaged me concerning a revamp of my Range-Slayer guide. Because of you all I will start rewriting it asap.[/color]

Thanks to you both. I hadn't realized there would be such a small difference, though I will defintely check to see if I hit higher more often with the iron (I'm guessing that's correct). Since I already have bought a ton of iron knives, I'm going to use them -- it can't hurt and will probably help a bit.

Sigh...hitting 6's though...it's so depressing -.-

Try using range pots... I think you might hit higher than 6 =P

I will. I can't believe I didn't think of that.

I'm trying to remember when I had level 53 strength -- I really think my max hit was a lot more than six. I also think I hit higher than six when I had 53 mage (although, to be honest, I probably Cammy teleported through that entire level). It seems strange that range would be so different.

OK, I'm done whining about it. Off to the yaks!

Range fires faster and is not nearly as expensive as either of those two. You're not imagining it though. Range does hit less, but it makes up for it in speed.

Just a bit.

Bronze are cheaper so just use them
