Selling my party hat

Featured Replies

I have a green party hat and if I come back to runescape im not sure how easy it would be to sell it. I dont have much, just that party hat.

If I stuck it on GE or Forums would it be difficult to sell?

Thanks.

Most buyers offer either low amounts of cash and junk, or only accept with hard to achieve items (such as you sell party hat, and a piece of 3rd age armor)..

I've heard that the don't sell in the G.E., but I could be wrong.

But really, they are pretty hard to sell, but not impossible.

try auctioning it on the marketplace forum

god must be a builder. his original quote said six days, he didnt finish on time, he buggered off, didnt make a good job of it in the first place, and he still hasnt finished.

If you just have the party hat...your gna have to start gathering some junk if you dont want to wait for ages with it in the GE.

It would be nice to get all cash for it. What do you mean by junk?

I sold my Green Phat in GE. I placed it in at minimum bid the day GE became mandatory. Around 2 months later, I received 185m for it. I thought the market was frozen, but it's just flooded.

Put your phat in the GE. It will take a very long time to sell, but it will sell - just be patient.

If you absolutely need cash now, you're going to have to junk-trade it to someone as aforementioned. Try marketplace on these forums or RSOF or other RS trading sites...

Do you mean accepting some junk? Party hats don't sell for ABOVE their price.. -.-

Junk would be items that don't sell very well, but still hold some monetary value.. Such as, players make construction flatpacks that won't ever sell, a longbow (u) that they don't want to finish, or even some overpriced summoning scrolls..

Am I trying to get it or accept it? Not sure what junk really does. Sorry if I sound like an idiot, I haven't played for 6 months or so.

Basically what I am asking is, If I accept cash + junk items what do I do with the junk items? Some I heard about don't seem sellable.

Junk, honestly isn't really tricking the trade limits.. Just that you will be stuck with all the items, that no one will want to buy.

But heres how a junk trade would work:

Player 1, Offers 50m Coins, and 100m worth of Maple Longbow (u)'s

Player 2, Offers a Purple party hat.

Both accept, because the price equals out to the same as that in the grand exchange.

Allright, I understand that concept. But what I ask is what the hell do I do with 100m in Maple Longbow (u)'s? :ohnoes: And it can go for any junk item as well.

I honestly doubt anyone will have that much junk.. And yes, any item that people have alot of could count as junk.

And the problem with junk is, you're kind of stuck with it..

Maybe, if you do a lot of clue scrolls, get some lucky ones, you could use your junk to sell of some of those rarer items.. Otherwise, you're kind of stuck with a ton of worthless items taking up your bank space..

Is it realistic that I could sell my Phat on RSOF for cash + sellable items?

Then what would be the point of someone offering it to you, and not selling it themselves? (Why do you think they call it 'junk'?.. -.- )

You might get someone really desperate, who will buy it on the G.E.. Leave your offer in at lowest, and see how it goes..

You don't need all that cash, RIGHT NOW, do you?

At the moment I don't even have memebership. But witht he current updates Runescape is looking more attractive. Literally.

Eh, I wish staking was back. I could make that green party hat into a few others, today. Hehe.

The main reason I wanted to sell it is to do Slayer and PVP. I could buy myself an AGS, Bandos armor, and a few other neat things. But right now that isn't looking realistic. Hell, im 600k I think away from 99 magic too. It would be nice to have it asap because I don't think I have just about anything left.

Then I say just leave it on the G.E., and Post in the RSOF that you're selling, accepting Godswords, Godwars armor, ect.. And good luck with selling.

Thanks was my initial idea before starting this thread. :-#

Hehe. Well thank you for taking the time to help me. Ill keep checking this thread to see if anyone has any other suggestions or ideas. Thanks again Zackdt.

Wait... are phats considered unwanted items cause aren't they really rare? I thought only items that were going down in price or losing popularity were traded for junk.

teh_gauss.png

No.. Party Hats are actually rare, but who really wants to have one, and not have it do anything? You could have 200m in cash to spend on other stuff, rather than your ego to make you look better.

And junk isn't items sold which are losing value.. It's items that have high market price that no one wants, along with an underpriced item, that should 'equal' out the trade.. For example. A construction flatpack sells for 500 coins. You have 1,000 of them. Thats 500k of items no one wants to buy, but could be used as junk to make you an extra 500k..
