spudrow
I recently made a topic regarding how Jagex disabled the use of Recoils during Slayer tasks, but have they taken it one step further? I was doing the Elemental Workshop quest & was at the part where you needed to kill the Earth Elemental for the ore. So, I attempted to mine the ore, watch it transform into the Elemental, & repeated the 5 minute process of recoiling & caking. After the Elemental was destroyed, no ore was to be found. I thought this happened to be a fluke so I re-stocked and tried it again, which resulted in the same failure. Did Jagex disable the use of recoils, period? This might be a fluke but wanted to get advice before attempting again.
kemikalkadet
They changed it so you dont get drops form recoiled monsters anymore. So if a quest monster drops an item you need it wont work. I think it should still work if you need to kill a monster that doesn't drop anything though, shilo boss for example.

RUNESCAPEfantasy
i think you need to hit atleast 1 damage for it to work
Socrates
Your other option is to try to hit 1 damage on it. But I don't know how long you can go on for doing that until you level. Thanks to Jopie for this great signature.99 Slayer|Fishing|Summoning|Hitpoints|Attack|Strength|Defence|Fletching.Anyone at Manchester University PM me
Deathmath
You need to hit it, somehow. Just one damage will do it. Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
