Introduction

 

Hey everyone, before I get to the event, I want to tell you all a TRUE, I say TRUE story of my trek in the Wilderness.

 

 

 

Eh, I was on my way to Revenant Hunting with my sister, and we stopped for a while at Bounty Hunter to bank our items. We did that, and walked towards the Graveyard of Shadows (real name, lol), the Graveyard between BH and CW that\\'s full of zombies. Okay, skipping the boring parts... mmhhmm... boring, boring, ah yes! Killed a Revenant! Skipping more boring parts... <_< Okay, now here\\'s the most important part of the story: While walking on the western side of the Clan Wars arena (after a good Revenant Hunt), I discovered something eerie in my chatbox: \\\"Woo... wooooo...\\\" The same thing happened to my sister, except it happened a little later than when it happened to me...

 

 

 

Okay, very short story, but before you say \\\"Did you just examine a ghost?\\\" the answer is no, I checked, but the examine was different. Okay, onto the event. I came back with a Ghostspeak amulet, and saw something else about... some guy dieing? Some strange thing was trying to communicate with me.

 

 

 

The Event

 

The purpose of this event is to discover the secret behind the mystery. We will split into groups (to ensure protection form Revenants), and see if there\\'s any strange changes to the Wilderness, and see if there\\'s more to the message. I\\'m hoping that we\\'ll be able to have a party afterwards. :)

 

 

 

Time and Date

 

July 22

-We will meet at Varrock Dummies (or was it plowed down after the graphics update?)

What to Bring

 

-Full Green Dragonhide is advised to defend against Revenant attacks. If you can\\'t bring Dragonhide, bring the best armour you can bring.

 

EDIT: Suggested that only Rangers bring D\\'hide, and Meleers bring Rune etc.

 

 

 

-Food such as cake is extremely advised, to heal if you\\'re hurt. Lobsters, Tunas, Swordfish, etc. are for eating during battle. Cake and pies are usually for healing after a battle.

 

 

 

-Talk with your team and compromise to either fight or run away when confronted with a Revenant. If you choose to fight, bring a bow (for Rangers), or a good weapon.

 

 

 

Expectations

 

-Be kind to everyone you encounter during this event. You don\\'t have to be too kind. :P

 

 

 

Respect your leaders.

 

 

 

-Stay and fight for your team if you are attacked, and your team stays behind.

 

 

 

-This isn\\'t a Revenant Hunt! Focus on the mission!

 

 

 

Don\\'t care about the 3 item limit. Bring 3 rare items (rune armor/d\\'hide full etc etc.) And then the rest cheap stuff

 

 

 

Example: Rune Body + Legs.

 

Rune 2H/Rune scimitar + cheap shield (wooden shield?)

 

Cheap helm (recommend the wizard hat since it has + 2 mage defense bonus)

 

Fancy Boots/Fighting boots, you can get these back easily.

 

Gloves/Vambraces.

 

Amulet, anything I guess? (Bring ghostspeak and a other amulet?)

Investigation Routes

We will all meet at Varrock Dummies, travel to Clan Wars together, and once there, we'll part ways and follow the investigation routes. Once done investigating, everyone will meet at the temple in the far west (checkpoint highlighted in orange). Once there, we'll discuss the next part of the investigation to make it more favourable to the investigators.

Other Details-

 

-This event is for F2P and P2P, and will take place in a F2P world.

 

 

 

-Invite your friends! :)

 

 

 

-Although members of any level are allowed, 60+ combat and 40+ prayer is highly recommended.

 

 

 

-Each group will consist of three people. High level players will be matched up with lower levelled players to ensure equilibrium among group strengths.

 

 

 

Quick Tips

 

-We\\'re dealing with the Wilderness, the battle site of the GodWars. I almost completely guarantee that at least one Revenant will attack you.

 

 

 

-Use Protect from Mage against revenants, almost all types of armour have Magic Resistance as their lowest defence.

 

 

 

-Revenants hit the highest with Melee.

 

 

 

-Bring a GhostSpeak amulet if you want more excitement.

 

 

 

-Anti-Dragon Shields are the only shields in the F2P version of Runescape that provides a Magic Defence bonus.

 

 

 

 

 

Final Words

 

Phew, after all of this work forging this post, I hope we\\'ll have fun! :) (and to think I did this all on my Nintendo Wii... argh, it took forever!) I'm so very sorry about the excess coding. This post was originally made in another Forum website...

This is just a teaser for the wildy quest. U will usually see those voices near the graveyard of shadows and the area by the ruins(the one north of the graveyard of shadows, not the one west of bandit camp). If you wear your amulet of ghostspeak, the woo woo woo stuff will be translated into words. There are i believe 12 different phrases that you can see. they all talk about a beast killing a family and devouring souls or something like that.
