Also on a side note with the beginner task of creating soft clay you MUST fill the bucket/bowl etc. in a sink in Lumbridge and then you MUST make the soft clay inside the barbarian village. Wasted a few minutes because I didn't realise it was specific to location #-o

You do not have to fill the bucket with water in lumbridge, but you do have to use it with the clay in barbarian village.

Thanks for the info :)

ok yeah I just thought that if making it outside didn't work and it did when I got water from lumbridge and made soft clay in village that both were required. Thanks for clearing it up.

Also forgot to say that the ring itself gives a +1 prayer bonus and +1 mage att bonus

I was just looking at the ring and looked at the 30 free low alch spells you get each day and wondered if they actually gave xp... and learnt that it did. It gives 31xp per cast. So even though this is minimal xp.. its free xp. potentially you can make a free 930 mage xp a day. I know thats really not much relative to other mage spells but all it takes is 30 gp (30 tinderboxes or other 1gp items) and you almost make 1k free xp a day. So in essence you're buying 930 mage xp for 30gp.. i think that isnt half bad, considering the only expense is the items you are alching. And I'm sure it isn't hard to find a item spawn place that is convenient so you dont have to use any gp at all. For example honey from the bees between seers and cath, all you need then is bug repellent, the ring and boom 930 xp. For non members there are plenty of item spawns in lumbridge in and around the castle. It wouldn't be hard to rack up 30 items. Or you could just kill 30 goblins and low alch the bones.

Another point is it's fairly easy as the low alch option is the first on the ring, hence you can just left click the ring and you will be able to use the low alch.

For me as an almost lvl 80 mager, 930xp doesn't look much relative to how much xp is required to level but for magers on the lower level range, this 930xp could take out a fair chunk of their required xp to level.

I assume you mean low alch.

Anyway, it might also be noteworthy that you can not use the ring's low alchs if you don't have the required mage level (21 if I am not mistaking).
