July 16, 200817 yr What would be a good monster to kill for charms? I dont want to barrage rock lobsters. So what could I kill to maximze # of charms per hour? im 118 combat
July 16, 200817 yr Waterfiends, fire giants, greater demons, bloodvelds (mainly for green), gargoyles, dust devils...iron dragons drop charms 2 at a time and steel/black drop them 3 at a time.
July 16, 200817 yr They're weak to crush attacks...so don your d hide/karil's and a weapon with a fast crush attack (I'm partial to the zamorakian spear) and wage war!

July 16, 200817 yr Probably not, especially if you have a bunyip...but check the bestiary on here to see if it has any recommendations.
July 16, 200817 yr Your best bet is to wear high mage def armor and use protect from range...if you have a pack animal familiar, you might wanna bring it and load it up with food.
July 16, 200817 yr Author Yeah, I see what you mean. Right now im 95 attack, 91 Str, 99 prayer. Im thinking about camping steels for a long time. W/ S att and Str pots. How would I do in your opinion? And do they drop charms every kill?
July 16, 200817 yr Just fine...I personally mage or range steels, so I only have to worry about anti fire pots and prayer becomes a moot point...but you'd do fine meleeing them especially given your prayer level. They don't drop charms every kill, but they drop them often and have really good non-charm drops too.

But if pray pots aren't repaid in drops then that will be my choice.
July 16, 200817 yr if you have a pack animal familiar, you might wanna bring it and load it up with food. You can't take a familiar into the whirlpool. Anyway, my two cents- steel dragons are way too slow if you're looking for charms. If you feel like testing your luck for a visage and the charms are a bonus, fine, but you're going to be disappointed if you're there for quick charms. They drop mostly green, which are crap. July 16, 200817 yr You can, however, take one into the chaos tunnels...where waterfiends are also found.
July 16, 200817 yr You can, however, take one into the chaos tunnels...where waterfiends are also found. I take it you've never been there? Multicombat waterfiends will rip you up so fast that you won't stay as long with 18 extra sharks as you would without them in the Ancient Cavern. True story. Even if it was slightly better to use those, you can bank quickly enough from the Ancient Cavern that it's not even worth the extra cost.
