1_man_army
Eric b & Rakim - Paid in Full. classic album. can't believe no one has mentioned it. -Well said, Paid in Full is great. Rakim is just such a great lyricist. I cant pick one album so Ill just post a few of my favourites & why I like them. "Public Enemy - It takes a nation of millions...." - Chuck D is amazing on this album he really forces his message across when you listen to it & it has plenty of great samples. "Dr Dre - The Chronic" - 2001 was great but this is a classic. In my opinion the best work (production-wise) of Dre's career. "NWA - Straight Outta Compton" - This is just a crazy album what more can I say, again well produced & it was still when Ice Cube was a member. "Nas - Illmatic" - Lyrically this album is phenomenal. The way Nas describes things so vividly it makes you feel as if you're there with him its amazing. Theres so many more I could mention but to be honest Im sick of typing now. He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)

expertgamer
look at you people, you've only listed a couple of the greatest, you've forgotten many. i've left out the ones people already listed. Boogie Down Productions : Criminal Minded Slick Rick: The Great Adventures of Slick Rick Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five: The Message Beastie Boys: Paul's Boutique and i don't know about All Eyez on Me, but without a doubt, Tupac's Me Against the world was his best and one of the best albums. GangStarr: Daily Operation Wu-Tang Clan: Enter the Wu-Tang 36 Chambers Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth: Mecca and the Soul Brother Souls of Mischief: '93 til Infinity Common Sense: Resurrection De La Soul: 3 Feet High and Rising Black Star: Mos Def and Talib Kweli Mos Def: Black on Both Sides A Tribe Called Quest: Midnight Marauders or The Low End Theory Run D.M.C.'s self titled debut obviously EPMD: Strictly Business there are many other classic albums, too many to list, but these are my favourites and hailed by critics all over.
