Keyboard/ typing problem.

Featured Replies

Well, I formatted my laptop yesterday. Now I am having a really frustrating problem with typing. Example: I am writing something in MSN, or even this very topic and in the middle of some word it jumps back a few words and starts adding the letters that I type in the middle of some random previous word. In RS it can't do that but there it randomly deletes the text that I write without me pressing the backspace or delete key. It also minimizes my MSN windows at random times.

I am running a Vista Home Basic and the laptop in Samsung R20. If more details are needed, please tell me.

Please help me out, I'm getting really desperate already

Writing this topic took me over 17 minutes.

I get the jumping back problem, but not very often. My laptop is a completely different make and model, and I'm running a different version of Windows. I'm not sure if it's me catching on the touch pad or something like that, I have done that quite a few times no and I suspect it may be part of the problem. I suspect in RS the problem is a similar thing.

I haven't had any problems with minimisation though.

I think you're probably hitting the 'home' key on your keyboard. Solution: slow down and type more carefully. I had a similar problem on my old keyboard because the keys were too close together for practical use.

I get it even when I type with one finger only, so it can't be the home key :(

That's... strange. If that's not the case than I really don't know, sorry.

It's okay, i'll probably just format it again.

Are you using the laptops keypad or a seperate keyboard?
