Hidhaeg
I've heard a Maul isn't very good - so I'll avoid that.. but is Granite armour any good? My friend told me it's better than Rune, but is very heavy - I don't mind it being heavy, I just want to verify whether it is better than Rune or not. Also, how much does a set cost? Fekambard
Yes it is better than rune, not sure about the price though...
Exodus_Flesh
Granite legs and helmet are rip offs.. They have stats near rune, only with higher range defense.. Really not worth it. Just stick to good ol' Rune. ~Zackdt
Theoknight2
all granite armor pieces are horrendously overpriced except the shield. Maul isn't bad, but only as a speccing weapon does it soar.

I'm currently got full rune, Rune Scimi, and the boots from the Stronghold of Security. I have a games necklace too, but that's the only members wearable item I have. :/
Fekambard
Do Barbarian Assault Mini-Game to obtain "Fighter Torso" It requires 45 defence and is a very popular body armour, providing a much loved +5 strength bonus.
Exodus_Flesh
Train everything to 60 all (dragon weapons/armor) , then 70 all (whip, and barrows), and we'll talk. :)Many more options at those levels. Also.. You could get a set of full barrows for less than full granite.. :? ~Zackdt

Is it one of those silly rechargeable items, though? I hate them.
Zaaps1
It's pretty than rune, but very heavy. However, it's a great alternative to dragon until you can wear barrows armor. For price, the platebody is 167k (under 100k if you buy it from BA after you kill the Queen once), the helm is about 100k, the shield is under 90k, but the legs are about 570k. ~It's Super Effective! The legs are pretty expensive, considering how small the defence boost is. I think I might just keep training, until all 60's, and then do Lost City - and get myself some Dragon weapons/armour. I'm aware they're a lot more expensive - but they look a tad more impressive to own. Time to do some more levelling, then... Pure Essence first, to earn the money for Lobsters.
