I have just made the unstrung Lye from the rare tree, but when I go back to talk to Askaladden, he tells me hoe we are both doing the same trial and nothing about a pet rock! Help I am truly stuck!!

What did I do wrong? I followed the www.tip.it Quest guide word for word. Others have encountered the very same problem I did. I did everything up to the point of walking the east path, fidning the troll "Lollo", going North a big for the Rare tree branch, and going back to the village to speak to Askaladden.

 

 

 

Was I supposed to talk to Askaladden before heading east to the troll "Lollo"

This sucks!!!! I followed the guide and its not working!!! Hahahahaha must be a glitch in the game.

The same thing happened to me. Start this section of the quest again after logging out. The section is the tip.it's guide section.

Somtimes RuneHQ has better guides. Might want to use that one.

Or kill fremmy citizens for the lyre.

There are certain triggers that allow you to do things. Make sure you didn't miss anything.

I had this problem as well, turns out you must talk to Lalli, the troll who guards the golden wool, before talking to the kid.
