Thargor
hey guys, I don't know if any1 remembers me but this is wolflord98 ingame and I used to be thargor01 on here. so I was wondering, is getting the void knight armour worth it? because looking at the actual stats....... meh, but that 10% bonus looks pretty good, is it rele worth it?

wildehunter
very worth it if u use prayer a lot the quest(s) is easy and short i use void armor to kill metal drags quite frequently 5% of people want an original signature if you are one of these people don't put this in your signature
ultimatballr
Its worth it at higher range levels and/or on lower def monster. I don't know what that guy above me is talking about when he says the quests are easy as you get it from a minigame (Pest Control) not a quest. Apparently, my signature was to big. green9090
It's worth it for ranged; the melee set has very limited uses, and the magic set is completely useless. The ranged set is REALLY awesome though. ilovecardj
Above post hes talking about Void not initiate I dislike ranging generally, and Its almost to the point if I cant use my void, I wont range. The noticable increase in damage and accuracy is way to good compated to d hide. I actually kind of enjoy ranging in void =] Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning
coza_17
I use for ranged mostly, others aren't that useful. But range is worth getting.

I was really unhappy when I maxed out melees and had to start ranging things. I heard about void and decided to give it a go, and now it's kinda fun. I like that I can tank many tasks with a bunyip and just pretend that I'm meleeing- the def on void isn't terrible. Psycho_Robot
From my experience, the void knight's ranged set boosts damage but sacrifices accuracy, so I would recommend only using it on monsters with low defense.

It does, but not much accuracy. Remember that it does have a +10% accuracy boost of its own. The damage boost more than makes up for this in all cases, I've found. I do better, for example, ranging steel dragons in void. Not a little bit better, SIGNIFICANTLY better. One issue though, is that the little ranged bonuses you can get make a bigger difference with void. You want to definitely go for at least a zammy book and glory/fury, and ranger boots and archer ring help a lot more than normal. With less ranged bonus, the accuracy discrepancy becomes more obvious. That would explain why I found void hit way to many zeros when I was ranging black dragons; I don't have ranger boots... or an archer ring... and instead of a zammy book I used an anti dragonbreath sheild
