A new spin on an old trick

Featured Replies

Swamp tar is always in pretty good demand. Most people run around and around lumby swamp to collect it. What if I told you there was a faster way for p2pers to get swamp tar?

Requirements: The ability to start Lunar Diplomacy, Seal of Passage, light clothing optional, teleport out optional.

How to do it:

1. Go to the west dock in Relleka. If you have not started Lunar Dip, you'll have to listen to a bunch of jibber jabber about the island.

2. Ask him to take you to his ship.

3. Go to the level of the ship with the dock.

4. Before you get on the boat, you will see barrels: one containing cooked apples, the other containing swamp tar. Guess which one to click?

Pros:

Any idiot with the requirements can do it. Sit and click.

Very easy money.

Stackable meaning very few trips to the bank.

You can do it while doing your homework.

Easy to get away when randoms appear (ladder is just north).

Cons:

Could take a while to respawn

Very repetitive

P2P only.

Tips:

This is VERY boring, but you can make good profits off it because it it stackable. Unlike snape grass, you don't have to teleport every 28 pieces, just keep clicking!

There are several barrels of tar on the boat, feel free to run around going to the different ones between respawn times.

You can get anywhere from 1-10+ tars per spawn.

The barrel refills every 10-20 seconds, depending on the world you are in.

Play music, watch tv, open youtube, go to a clan chat, find some way to distract yourself.

At the time that I wrote this, swamp tars are 200ea in grand exchange.

Pictures hopefully coming soon.

Conclusion:

This is meant to be a long term money maker. If you want to make 100M now, then you're SOL. This won't make you 100M, but its good for about 50-200k per hour (depending on how dedicated you are and the world you are in). If you want some quick cash, this is for you. If you are in a clan chat, time goes by faster. I don't deny that this is boring, but there are benefits to using this method. I hope you guys try it, I'm sure a lot of impatient people won't like it :b but that's ok.

True, there are randoms there however. I prefer to alch where there aren't randoms so I can just alch away!
