InkofDeath
Have you looked at the RAM piece visually? Just to see for any scrapes or marks, though once there was a layer of plastic (idiotic yes; electrostatics 101?) after I bought it still on it, wasn't on any circuitry, but was causing the RAM to not work. But that's probably not very helpful. -.-
blade995
If the computer will not boot with just that stick that's causing problems, it sound's like it's bad. Have you tried this stick in a different memory slot by itself? Do you have the latest motherboard bios? Do you get any beeps when you start the computer with 8GBs? (or with that bad stick only) If you do need to return the memory you should be able to just send any of the other 3 back. The only difference would be the week numbers between the two packages but I don't think they wouldn't issue an exchange based on that.

YES Do you get any beeps when you start the computer with 8GBs? (or with that bad stick only) Either no beep, or... a really long beep that goes on and on.. then stops.... and then starts again. If you do need to return the memory you should be able to just send any of the other 3 back. blade995
That beep code means bad ram. I say exchange it.
WutangFlu
so is it safe to say just take the bad stick and grab one of the good ones? You sure I don't have to worry about them having to be the original 2 sticks that where in the same package together
