Ps2 controllers wont work.

Featured Replies

Hi, i have a rather old playstation 2 whichs controllers wont work.

I have 2 controlls and they have both the same problems, the following buttons doesnt work:

L1

L2

Left cross button

Top cross button

So, what might the problem be, and how can it be fixed?

Probably just wear on the controllers. I had a problem with the shoulder buttons on my controllers.

I don't think there's anything you can do to fix them, if the connections have broken etc.

New ones are pretty cheap now, probably only about £10-£15 each, maybe less.

Heh I thought i was the only one. I don't think there is much you can do except what pyro said; buy a new one

You could try to take it apart and possibly fix it yourself. If you are lucky a little part just came out of alignment and you can move it back in. I managed to salvage a N64 controller with a broken joystick and L-button. Chances are, though, that you won't be able to fix it, but it never hurts to try and it's already broken so you have nothing to lose.

Ok thanks everyone. I'll see if I can find a new one.
