June 14, 200521 yr Quick question, what is it and what does it do? and what should I set it on on my computer? :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
June 14, 200521 yr First, it's screen refresh rate. As to what you should set it to, depends on your monitor, the resolution you're running, and possibly your graphics card. Assuming you have a somewhat new monitor (IE not 10 years old), and you're not running above 1600x1200, you should set it anywhere between 60 and 80 hz. If you could give us the monitor you're using(if possible), and the resolution you most-often run at, it'd help.
June 14, 200521 yr Little tip, though... NEVER go above 80... Unless you have another computer and are willing to become hassles and confused. Ape8191. New sig to come!
June 14, 200521 yr Author Thanks and yeah, I meant Screen Refresh Rate :). My monitor is a samsung 17" I usually use 800 x 600 resolution and currently using 60 hz. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
June 14, 200521 yr Set your refresh rate as high as your monitor suports, it`s said that 75Hz it`s enough (unless it`s a LCD, where 60HZ it`s enough), but i for one have a sony trinitron 17" and use a resolution of 1024x768 and a refresh rate of 100Hz. Remember, the higher the refresh rate, the better for your eyes.
