I want to play again...

I've been playing rs for about 3-4 years now (maybe 5? I can't remember) :shock:, but I always quit for months at a time. I haven't played for about 3 months this time and the reason is the same as the other times - nothing to do and I had done all the fun Barrows/GWD type things 100 times. The last 99 I got was fishing and I did a lot of slaying before I quit. I miss RS, but its boring to me, does anyone have some advice, stories, or news that could make me want to play again? I know there was a slayer update and the graphic update, but I didn't really care :|. Or maybe I should just stay on break until I really want to play again? I can't think of anything that would make me start wanting to play again though :?

Well.... I'm there, so isn't that motivation enough to start playing? :D

 

 

 

Seriosuly though, if I were you, I'd just wait, and watch the updates every now and then until you see something that sparks your interest.

 

 

 

 

 

Btw, they came out with the RCing guild, and its f2p to, so you could check that out. ;)

Edit- Found it and it sounds pretty cool :thumbsup: I'll probably wait and see what drops you can get from killing people incase its not rewarding at all. And I'm horrible at PvP so I won't even use it much :|, but I guess I will try

in 2008, we will be bringing you special 'PvP worlds', where you can fight other players almost anywhere! In addition to all the usual content you might expect to find in RuneScape, they will also include:

 

 

 

* Optional sign-up choose between PvP danger or stick to ordinary play by simply switching worlds.

 

* High danger with items dropped on death.

 

* High rewards for kills. To avoid any RWT issues the reward for a successful PK will be generated by the game, similar to when you kill a monster at the moment. We're creating generous drop tables based on factors like your levels and the impressiveness of the kill.

 

* These drop tables will include "PvP world specific" items like XP-modifying gear, lvl 70+ equipment and new, glorious, short-term but hard hitting gear. These will once again make PKing a viable source of income.

 

* PvP across 99% of the world, including the old Wilderness.

 

* Attack any player within a certain level of your own. Level range depends on the area, similar to the old Wilderness levels.

 

* ...And all sorts of other twists on interesting content... Just think of the possibilities when you can PK anywhere!

I'm in the same boat as you.. nothing at all to do so i stopped playing. No point in playing the game if you're bored of it. I'd suggest waiting until the PvP update at the end of the year.. i'll resub again when it comes out to see if it's any good. If it's a hit i'll probably carry on playing again.
