Deathmath
Alright here is the story. My mom bought Roxio easy media creator ten. She wants to make slideshows with video and pictures. Her old junky Kodak software did but it was horrible. She doesn't want it to turn it into one large video. She wants to keep as separate files that refer to one another. She wants it like the gift cd option on Picasa, but with video integration. THanks for anybody's help! ~Deathmath Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
dsavi
Seriously, what happened to Powerpoint? Or Openoffice.org Impress if you can't afford that. (I certainly can't :P )

JoeDaStudd
Read before you post. She doesn't want it to turn it into one large video. When you start adding video into powerpoint you know your going to start to auto playing slides (ie one before and/or one after). For the effort you put in trying to automate x slide moving into another you may as well have the whole thing in one big automated file/program. If you still want to stop the presentation at set parts; why not use pause/play using a remote or mouse on a video? As you would still have to click to progress onto the next slide anyway. The lack of control playing a video via powerpoint takes away the reason most people use powerpoint (controlling everything the user(s) see). What if you want to rewind to a set point? Yes I answered with a answer he didn't want, but I was trying to save him a lot of hassle. dsavi
I suppose if you had the raw, uncompressed Windows movie maker file (Which keeps the source files) it would basically do what the OP wants.
Deathmath
I suppose. That's a little rough around the edges, and she want software like a gallery aka picasa that can make slideshows or whatever without having to do a whole lot of work. I know there are ways to do it but I was looking for a dedicated piece of software. Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
