This is just a basic walkthrough of the major steps involved in my newest abstract. My next tutorial will hopefully be something OTHER than abstract. :P

You'll need Photoshop to follow along and understand exactly what I'm saying, but this can be done in any image editing program. And a finished (and transparent) 3D render will also be needed.

It's a pretty basic and amatuer friendly tut, but gets the job done. You aimed to teach this style of abstract and it works. Might help to provide them with a model though?

Very nice try to help ppl out there even if it looks more like a briefing rather than a tutorial (thing that has its pros anyway). As pointed out above it lacks a model to train with (remember not every1 has cinema4d) and imo you should put in some screenshots of the tools you'r using with the details of the setting cause there's a lot of ppl that can't make a step without that kind of support. Plus i think you should organize it as an .html one with different pages so that you can provide bigger images plus the in-depth ones above, avoiding the 600k+ jpg.

 

 

 

The reason is i personaly find the final images very messy and not appealing, and this kinda ruins the whole tutorial.They'd realy need some more room to express themselves the best.
