September 19, 200817 yr To be honest I think the willow comp bow is another bling.. I'd stick with a maple short anyways.. Also, bows do not affect arrows power anyhow. It depends on what kind of metal they are made of and the attack style you're using. Shortbows, longbows... They all have the same ranged bonus for the same material. Except that the latter has a longer range. R.I.P. Neko :[5,445,898,965th to 99 WoodcuttingBlogs are dead
September 19, 200817 yr They don't hit harder, but long/comp are slower and have more accuracy. The shortbow is best for training due to it's speed.
September 19, 200817 yr Well shortbows are theoretically better as the closer you are to the monster the better\harder you could hit. Long bows have a farther range and is said to be more effective when theres a large distance between you and your enemy. It really doesn't make a difference really, but shortbows are more commonly used (especially msb for its special). Comp bows are said hit a bit harder though are slower like the longbow. Regardless bows fail, crossbow + bolts =ftw.
