iPod Movies

Featured Replies

So yeah, I converted the original movie file into an acceptable format. I imported it into itunes where it's under movies, it plays in itunes.

When I go to movies, on my iPod, it just loads the soundtrack and nothing else. It has the little TV icon on the ipod next to it too.

Try VLC media player?

Uhh, could you elaborate? I don't want to play them on my computer, I want to play them on my iPod.

I think I may've forgot to mention that. Sorry.

make sure the resolution and what the video is encoded in are supported by your ipod.

what type of ipod are you using? what video is it and how big/high/wide etc is it?

just because the video has an extension (eg mp4) doesnt mean that the video is encoded using a supported codec. the file extension is just the container, the audio and sound could be encoded in virtually anything (which may not be supported)

try reconverting the video to the supported format, and look for a setting that determines how the video will be encoded and make sure you select one that is supported by your ipod.
