twinblade137
PERSONALLY I HAVE ABIDING BY THIS GUIDE IN F2P, AND I GOT 99WC IN F2PHey I'm twinblade137 and i've posted this thread to help out all fellow woodcutters. I'm going for 99 wc and realised that there is a dispute between all wc'rs about where the best place to cut trees in f2p is. So i hope this guide helps you alll you woodcutters out there. ENJOY!!!! When and Where to wc Levelz 1-15= CHop any normal trees. I recommened cutting the tree's behind lumbridge castle and firemaking them for easy firemaking exp as your a beginner and this will help you alot. EXp needed= 2,411 Logs needed to cut= 97 Levelz 15-35= CHop oak trees. I recommened cutting the lone oak near draynor bank if your after cash, or the one's near edgeville bank. IF your in pursuit of pure exp i also recommened these places or rimmington and sell to general store, i also recommened firemaking the logs for good firemaking exp, because at lower levels you should cut/firemake together as it is more efficient. Exp needed from 15-35= 19,995 Logs needed to cut= 534 Levelz 35-99= CHop WIllows all the way!!!! There very efficient and the best in f2p, i tried oaks and it maybe better in small proportions but there's no oaks in quantity near any general store or near any bank. I've also calculated the exp per hour at different locations they are as follows. [hide=]Rimmington willows/sell to general store= 47.7k exp an hour Draynor willows/bank them= 46.7k an hour (and there were like 3 people) Lumbridge willows/sell to general store= 45.3k an hour (only 2 tree's i don't recommend cutting here) Port sarim willows/firemake them= 37k an hour, firemaking exp=50k 1) 2) Edgeville willows/bank them= 44k exp an hour (only 1 tree and right near bank) [/hide] If you decide to cut yews, exp is as follows: [hide=]Edgeville yews/bank them= 35k exp an hour (usualy packed) Varok yews/bank them (behind castle, bank at ge)= 35.2k an hour (usualy a few people) Rimmington yews/sell to general store (near melzars maze)= 38.5k exp an hour (no one here) [/hide] Personally i don't recommened cutting yews till 85 woodcutting, but i've seen people cut yews from 60-99 and they've made a few gp's out of it. WoodCutting For Cash= Simple and straightforward my recommendation and from most people will be cut yews at the edgeville or varrock yews from 85, although if your looking to at woodcutting as your main source of cash people tend to simply cut yews from 60. Either way it's a good source of cash, it'll generate you between 20-30m either from 60, or 85. What if my Axe Breaks? Dw it's not the end of the world, use home teleport and go to Bobs axe shop and fix it for certain prices. Rune axes are 427 gp. Although if you banking your logs i recommend having 10 rune axes in your bank just incase a few were to break, it's much more time efficient. WoodCutting Outfit: USe the best axe you can to maximise the amount of logs you will cut per minute. There is no given woodcutting outfit although anything casual is great, and if you want to show off with rares feel free to as you'll meet alot of people B) . My wc outfit is as follows: TRUST ME IF YOU BREAK IT UP IN PROPORTIONS IT IS EASY TO LVL 99, IF YOU JUST LOOK AT IN ONE BIG PICTURE IT SEEMS AN ETERNITY AWAY, THAT'S THE BIGGEST SECRET The FInal Goal And Reward (must be members though) Trimmed Cape: Untrimmed cape: woodsman tutor: This cape is the ultimate sign of woodcutting supremacy as it is weilded in the cape section and also has a brownish hood whish is alos wielded on the helmet section. This cape costs 99,000 gp and is found/bought at the woodsman tutor near the bridge in lumbridge (near the furnace). And now you can show off your new woodcutting cape :P ENJOY YOUR 99 WC!!!!!!!!! Any further questions or enquries just post a reply and i'll get back to you asap.
Ouchy
It is an alright guide, but there needs to be Hide Tags in it, or else it will turn people away. About your section on clothes: How can you honestly put that up without thinking twice? You have members only clothes and a Cooking Skill Cape on :| My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages. About your section on clothes: How can you honestly put that up without thinking twice? You have members only clothes and a Cooking Skill Cape on :| SO.... i meerly put that in there for the sake of it. Most woodcutters that go for 99 in f2p have their own unique outfit whether it be members clothes or f2p or even the wooden shield theme in w125... btw it's a thieving cape with a thieving outfit -.-
Pirate_Felix
great guide, next time you take your pictures turn your private off, show your inventory and turn your public off/friends it really helps, no names in your pictures etc. 8/10 [hide]Felix, je moeder.Je moeder felixJe vader, felix.Felix, je oma.Felix, je ongelofelijk gave pwnaze avatar B)Felix, je moeder.[/hide]
Owned_Nex
OK guide... But really nothing much to it. Infact, cutting oaks SHOULD NEVER BE DONE. Banking oaks is absurd. You can't possibly sell those. Willows are good until about 80. Then Yews. Dungeoneering isn't a skill. I'm faster than bots at Sorceress Garden. PM me if you want to chat. My PM is always off. My keyboard is on fire. Want some?

Troacctid
OK guide... But really nothing much to it. Infact, cutting oaks SHOULD NEVER BE DONE. Banking oaks is absurd. You can't possibly sell those. Willows are good until about 80. Then Yews. i lol'ed at that... its called CONSTRUCTION, yes people do buy oak logss and turn into planks to make cash or use for construction xp Indeed. Oak logs are much easier to sell than willows, and they're worth more money. Chopping oaks is definitely more profitable than chopping willows. There's virtually no demand for willows, since they're worse than maples for everything they're used for, and maples are a measly 37 gp each. To make matters worse, the market is overflowing with willows from thousands of players training woodcutting and dumping millions of logs in the Grand Exchange. However, oak logs are used to make oak planks, which is a reasonably profitable activity, so there's actually a point to using them. In addition, very few people chop oak logs, so there's not so much competition among sellers. So, oaks are definitely more profitable than willows. In fact, they're more profitable than maples, which isn't saying much, but it puts things in perspective a little better I think. Also, [...] there's no oaks in quantity near any general store or near any bank....try just outside of the Varrock west bank, there's two or three oaks there that aren't bad for chopping.
