Quantum of Solace - Bond 22

Featured Replies

For those of you unaware (living under a rock?), the new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, is being released soon (31st October in the UK and 14th November in America).

The story starts where Casino Royale left off, with Bond tracking down the people responsible for Vesper Lynd's death and goes from there.

Here are two of the trailers:

And the (slightly controversial) music video, by Jack White and Alicia Keys:

Personally, I'm very excited about this. Casino Royale is one of the best Bond films i've seen, and I think Daniel Craig is a fantastic Bond. The trailers look very promising.

Any thoughts or opinions?

This one feels very unorthodox, compared to the other Bond films.

Quantum of Solace... it just doesn't feel like a Bond film title.

Neither does the theme music.

Perhaps this is the new direction for the films, we'll see.

The film looks ok but I'm not as full of anticipation about this film as I was about the others. It just doesn't seem like a Bond film, the way it is continuing on from the previous one and like Pyromancer said the title doesn't feel like a Bond film at all.

The theme tune for it is awful too and definitely not a Bond film, it makes me wonder if Alicia Keys and Jack White have ever actually heard a Bond theme before.

It is a break away from the traditional Bond and hopefully it will be a good film...

Hopefully this bond film will continue to bring us to the edge of the seat when we watch it. Also, I'm looking forward to a good villain death. The music video is something different, Jack White has a good talent for music but I'm not sure if it is what the Bond film needs, guess we'll have to wait for the critics.

I downloaded this off torrent today. For some reason, I feel like I didn't get the original version. I got this instead...

Re: the title, very few of them have ever really made much sense. Live and Let Die? Octu[kitty]? They're all fairly meaningless. And the title was taken from an Ian Fleming short story anyway.

I agree the song is a little different, I like the sound Jack White brings to it but I don't think Alicia Keys does it justice.

I'm not going to read or hear anything about it. I will completely surprised when I am going to see it soon. Can't wait. Bond is a guilty pleasure.

When the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

Looks very different, can't wait to see it though.

Though it'll be after I see Eagle Eye.

I have no intrest in helping "keyers" farm xp.

I can't wait for this movie...the theme music sucks though...and Quantum of Solace is the name of a short story by Ian Fleming...

I like that they are breaking away from the normal Bond formula since it was getting old and used and when Pierce came around...these are the way I thought the books were....
