Does anyone know how to make a .gif file smaller? Demoris Posted July 13, 2004 Share Posted July 13, 2004 Go to Window > Optimize. This opens the optimization window. Turn down the number of colors. The_Jeppoz Posted July 13, 2004 Share Posted July 13, 2004 The dimension of an animation depends on 3 factors. - the firse is, of course, the image quality... - the second is the number of frames u'r using (2 frames will take less space than 10) - the third is the total number of pixels you'r animating each frame (that is how many pixels will change their state from a frame to another). This is mainly related to the compression algorithm still keep in mind that u can make a long animation (many frames) moving small objects (a small text, a small object) or u can make a short animation (few frames) moving big objects.
