RSBDavid
So my uncle is giving me $2000.00 as an early graduation present. Here is a picture of the items I have selected. [hide=pic][/hide] Is everything compatible? I can provide Diruct URL's to each part if neccessary. Vidi
The CPU and motherboard aren't compatible. You want to be looking for a AM2 (939?) supported mobo for that AMD chip, or grab a intel CPU. OldJoe
As Vidi stated, you either need to change to an Intel cpu with socket 775, or change to a AM2+ motherboard one that supports the Phenom 9950 (make sure the motherboard can handle the 9950!). You have also forgotten a PSU it seems (or you got one that you'll re-use?). Might i also ask why you have chosen two different screens? blackrainbow
Don't see a PSU and operating system on that list.
eggzs
yeah, get a socket 775 processor (Core 2 Duo) and a 450W+ PSU from a trusted brand (thermaltake, Silvertone, Corsair etc) and i would suggest a better mouse. That mouse is pretty small and not really made for prolonged usage due to being wireless. For that amount of money, you could get a decent gaming mouse such as a Logietch G5. JoeDaStudd
Ok, lets get this started. Get this ram, its basically the same stuff only cheaper and without the fan (not needed IMO) This motherboard board (GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3L) This psu (Corsair 520HX) This cpu (Intel Q6600) This gpu (HD4870) This monitor (Samsung 22", why get 2 small ones instead of 1 big one?) This laptop. Get a G7 if you must have a wireless mouse [hide=Drops]Dragon Axe x11Berserker Ring x9Warrior Ring x8SeercullDragon MedDragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kcGodsword Shard (bandos)Granite Maul x 3Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats][/hide]
RSBDavid
Might i also ask why you have chosen two different screens? Dual screens for multi tasking. I have changed the cpu to a 775 socket. Thanks for all of the help guys. JoeDaStudd
Did you looks over the links I gave you? The laptop is a lot better for then the one you linked. Both at light gaming and general use. You need to add a psu either way all it will all arrive and you'll be wondering whats missing. I should also add you'll need a OS and a DVD drive. If he already got a cd of some OS, he don't need to buy a new one... But who knows. Also bballer - Why two different screens? Why not chosing two of the same kind? Vidi
Choosing 2 of the same screens would be best, it'd make sure they both are at the same level side by side. Also.. Make sure what kind of cables the monitors come with, if it's VGA only, you'll want a VGA to DVI adapter so they'll plug into your graphics card.
