IM back for my first time in over a year and a half. Im doing barrows and this mage dies in there. Had to have had some runes i could have grabbed lol. But when he dies a gravestone came up. And only dropped bones. he never came back to get it or anything and i waited and nothing of his came up? I know cheap but hey i could have used the runes lol

If you don't want to read the long article, here is a short summary.

 

 

 

When you die, if you have more than 3 items with you, a gravestone appears in the spot where you died. It lasts from 2-5 minutes, depending on which gravestone you have chosen. You can choose gravestones at the priest in the Lumbridge church or the stone mason in Keldagrim.

 

 

 

Players with 70 prayer can bless gravestones so that they last for up to 60 minutes.

 

Other players can repair gravestones to keep them alive a little longer.
