October 11, 200817 yr Well I'm back from skiing, and I have a couple of sigs (sprites) to post, including a colab with Jas. So to start off got a pokemon sprite (Dragonair I think) Mainly smudging practice And A mass of colabs.... Here's my original, showed to Jas and he wanted to colab.... But first he told me to rid some stuff so... He took it, and did this with it... And with the final outcome Like this: Thanks, and C/c would be great.
October 11, 200817 yr I think your style still still have the same problem, it's the smudging which doesn't go well as a effect, I would stick with it for backgrounds. You and jason made a pretty gud job with the sprite . The sprite is kind of bad imo because it look stained and the colours doesn't go well. The blending feels incomplete and style itself doesn't go well with sprites. Sorry for the harsh words but I really think that you're not improving to well as you stick with the same effects over and over again.
October 12, 200817 yr Vary your focals, mid does not like compo. danke Schon Sam!^^"Blood runs thicker, oh were thick as thieves you know"-Carl Barât
October 12, 200817 yr The collab is cool, I just wish Jason had left some of the wireframes in there instead of smudging them completely though. That would make the background more interesting and it would help the depth. As for the Pokémon sprite, I don't like it at all. I think it has major colour problems, and the smudging looks filter-piled and LQ. The pink things (which I assume are C4Ds) just seem to be floating there randomly which doesn't help the composition or flow. Also, I'd definitely stop using those tech brushes, they don't go well with any abstract sig IMO. Same as Julius, sorry for the harshness, but I also think you should try doing a different style instead of sticking to what you know. pixel avvy by me deviantART
