Bow Enchantment

Concept

 

Enchanted Bows would be infused with a talisman of one of the four basic elements. The bow would act the same as a water staff or fire staff, but also allow the mage to use range attacks as well.

 

 

 

"The Spell"

 

There would have to be a brand new spell introduced to runescape. The spell would take place at one of the elemental obliesk and require an elemental talisman along with 10 cosmic runes to bind the elemental power into the magic bow. You will also need 50 as a magic level as well.

 

 

 

Story Line

 

Lowe was curious one day after seeing a flaming bow in one of his ancestors drawings. He got so curious he grabbed his magic bow and begin to think. He looked at his bow and back at the picture and noticed a small engraving on the bow in the drawing. It was the fire element insignia! So he took off strait to Aubury and asked "do you think our ancestors could have infused the power of an element into a bow?" Aubury soon caught on and got strait to work. The made a journey to the water obliesk to further investigate the theory. While studying the stone lowe noticed a strange engraving on the obliesk and translated it from the ancient language which read "The power is within the talisman" Aubury grabbed lowe's bow along with his water talisman and began to recite the words back in the ancient language. The bow suddenly faded into a light blue. Jumping for joy they both said "We have done it!"

Hmmm, it would be a nice idea. This reminds me of the prestige class character 'Arcane Archer', in the game Neverwinter Nights.

 

 

 

Being able to shoot arrows imbued with fire or ice etc... therefore in addition to the normal red splash of damage inflicted by the arrow, there might be an additional splash of another color to show the damage by the type of element. It would use up the Special bar of course.

 

 

 

Although I am not pretty sure how this would affect the Combat Triangle or PvP, or if Mages would complain about it.

To be honest I don't think it would effect the Combat Triangle too much. It would just give an incentive to raise Range and Magic.
