matrix2613
With the release of the new prepaid cards at Target, I will probably be able to get a membership again soon. The last time I was a member was when construction came out, it was actually released the last day of my membership and only got a chance to train it to level 6. The day after that, I was hacked and lost absolutely everything on my perfectly organized bank. (Edit-I forgot to say I currently have about 1.7m cash and Full Rune on my account at the moment) My stats- ( I have 6 construction and 20 farming) I am confused or have no idea how to train- [hide=]Summoning- (I think I know the basics, you use shards from monster drops on an obelisk, make pouches, then use the pouches to get the pets. However, I don't really know the most efficient way to train this, and I've read it is very expensive. How long would it take to get to 52?) Hunter- (Is this skill basically a sit and wait? Go to the monsters spot, set up a trap, and wait till you catch something, Right? Does this skill have any practical uses, besides spottier/spotted cape? How long would it take to get to 50+?)) Construction- (I am completely confused on what to do, all I know is that I have to make planks. I hear that your POH can be really useful with things like altars and costume rooms, but when does this skill stop being just a money pit and actually become useful?) Farming- (I have heard that this skill is pretty good for money if you farm rannars, but I want to know the fastest method to get it to that level and the best way to farm rannars.) Herblore-(I never really liked this skill, but I want to do Legends so I need to know a relatively cheap way to train it to 50, maybe I could use the rannars from farming?) Thieving-(What would be the most efficient ways of training it, and what would be ways that I could profit from it?) Slayer-(What master would I use? Would it be worth it to buy a black mask or whatever its called? When do I start making money from this?) Agility-(It was one of my favorite skills, but its been so long that I have no idea where to train it for the best experience.) Prayer- I want to get to 70, What are the fastest ways of getting here? Cheapest? Moderate Way?[/hide] I have finished these Quests- [hide=]All F2P Quests Big Chompy bird hunting BioHazard Clock Tower Creature of Fenkenstrain The Dig Site Drudic Ritual Dwarf Cannon Elemental Workshop I Fishing Contest The Fremennik Trials Gertrude's Cat The Giant Dwarf The Golem The Grand Tree Heroes' Quest Holy Grail Horror from the Deep Jungle Potion Lost City The Lost Tribe Merlin's Crystal Murder Mystery Nature Spirit Plague City Priest in Peril Recipe for Disaster *Dwarf *Wartface & Bentnoze *Pirate Pete *Lumbridge Guide *Skrach 'Bone Cruncher' Uglogwee Recruitment Drive Sheep Herder A Soul's Bane Tai Bwo Wannai Trio Tree Gnome Village Underground Pass Wanted! Watchtower Waterfall Quest Witch's House Basically, all the easy begginer quests[/hide] Which important quests am I missing? Should I use XP lamps from quests like One Small Favour on skills like Summoning, or would it be better to use it on Prayer? About how long will it take to get a Quest Cape? Armor- [hide=]I was thinking something on the lines of Helmet- ? Cape-Fire Cape/Quest cape (help on both of those needed) Amulet- Glory? Weapon- Whip Torso- ? Shield- Obsidian Shield? Legs - ? Gloves - Dragon Gloves from RFD? Boots- Dragon Boots Ring- Ring of Dueling/Lumbridge Achievement Ring 3[/hide] What are some of the new members updates I missed, like GWD and the like? Where are some good meele training spots, I have already read the guide on Zomby Monkeys, But is there something that gives more profit? What are the best ways to make money with my stats? Thank You Guys woot. You are one with the matrix. CowsEatFood
I'll just go through the skill part for now, since I have to eat soon. Summoning- You get charm drops from different monsters (slayer is probably the best way for you to get them at the moment, and that helps solve the slayer question too). You buy the shards from the summoning guy you start the quest with. Then you go to a summoning obelisk and fuse those together with a "summoning second" (check the kb article for more info). Then you just click on the pouch. Pets come as an extra, and don't really do much. I don't know much about training it to 52, since on my nub account I only got it to 16  . Hunter- There are a few good guides for this in the AOW. I would recommend going there and finding the best method for you. Construction- This is a skill I really enjoyed. Sure you use a lot of money on it, but I enjoyed it. It gets really good at 50, which you can make a portal room. This is where you can make pretty much all the major teleports into portals. To train it from where you are at- 6-20 make whatever you can with plank and nails. I would make my own planks, since they take forever to buy. 20-33(34?) make random oak things. 33(34?)-74 make oak larders. And a tip: plan ahead on your house. Farming- Bleh, never liked it. I just used seeds that I got from thieving master farmers (which is what you should do for thieving once you hit 38). But ranarrs are pretty good for money. Herblore- I dunno. Slayer- Black mask is good. Make sure you do smoking kills once you get the slayer level. Agility- +1 from herblore. I never liked that skill. Prayer: D bones on a gilded alter is probably the best xp. Just go to house party world and find somebody with a gilded alter. Make sure both of the incense burners are lit, and use the bones on the alter. Well, this is all the time I have now, the manual on the runescape main site helps a lot too for a lot of the basics. ladycai
Summoning- Very expensive indeed. Use Bogrog *south of cw and yanille* to exchange pouches to shards if necessary. Hunter- You have it pretty much known. gray and red chinchompas usually are the best money makers here. Construction- Use the planks to make furniture. More expensive than summoning. Farming- A good money-maker. Farm allotments to higher levels and then start farming herbs. Fruit Trees provide good xp. Herblore- Making Str pots can almost break even (last time i checked was sept) Thieving- Look into the Rogue's Den (after lvl50) Slayer- Use the higehst lvl slayer master you can Agility- The wildy courses and ape atoll for higher levels. Prayer- Cheapest AND fastest way is dragon bones on a gilded altar (two lighters) 252 xp each 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]
matrix2613
Ok Thanks guys, that helps a lot. Anybody know what armor should I use? What new quests have comeout since two years ago? Should i use the 2 10k XP lamps from one small favour to get a jumpstart on summoning (will get it to 44)? woot. You are one with the matrix. UnknownRemoval
Yes, use your experience lamps on summoning. Saves a lot of cash and charms. : And try to do Fist of Guthix once a week for experience in your lowest skill above 30. (Need at least 100,000 exp or 1 Quest Point per week though) Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player
