slaytanicc
Yesterday i was ranging Moss Giants on Crandor in a PvP world. The reason for doing it in a PvP world is because it is peacefull, i was the only person there for hours. Well as it happned, i ran out of arrows and had to teleport to Varrock to go to the Grand Exchange. As i teleported i experienced a small lag and when the lag ended i was standing in Lumbridge with nothing but a Saradoming Platebody, Saradomin Platelegs and a Rune 2H sword. I had obviously been attacked. I lost over 40K Iron arrows, Saradomin Full Helm, Saradomin Kiteshield, Dragonhide(g) Body, Black(g) Platelegs, Black(g) Full Helm, about 150 Law Runes, about 400 Nature Runes, about 1000 Air runes, over 50K cash and a Strength Amulet(t). Yes i was pretty upset for a while and even contemplated over quitting. This being the second time i lost a great deal of money i was not very happy. I was left with only 1Mil in my bank having had over 7Mil. I was halfway to my goal to get a Santa Hat. I decided that a loss like that was not going to get me down, ive had a much bigger loss before. I set a few goals up for myself and i would like your opinion on them(Is it a good idea, How long its going to take, Were i should do it). Here are my goals: Mining: I decided to get my Mining to level 65 or 70 mining only gold. Target Level 65: Ore needed= 2695 (2695 * 486= 1 309 770 Profit)(2695/28 = 97 Trips) Targer Level 70: Ore needed= 7125 (7125 * 486= 3 462 750 Profit)(7125/28 = 255 Trips) Woodcutting: I decided to get my Woodcutting to either level 75 or 80 cutting yews only. Target Level 75: Yews needed= 2701 (2701 * 411 = 1 110 111 Profit)(2701/28 = 97 Trips) Target Level 80: Yews needed= 7133 (7133 * 411 = 2 932 663 Profit)(7133/28 = 255 Trips) Fishing: I decided to get my Fishing to level 75 or 80 fishing only Lobsters. Target Level 75: Lobsters needed= 4200 (4200 * 384 = 1 612 800 Profit)(4200/27 = 156 Trips) Target Level 80: Lobsters needed= 12 818 (12 818 * 384 = 4 922 112 Profit)(12 818/27 = 475 Trips) Smithing: I decided to get my Smithing to level 60 smelting Steel Bars only. Target Level 60: Bars needed= 9526 (9526 * 599 = 5 706 074[3 219 788 Profit])(9526/10 = 953 Trips) If i go for the 65/75/75/60 option i will have a Total Profit of 7 252 469. If i go for the 70/80/80/60 option i will have a Total Profit of 14 536 313. As asked above i wish to know how long each option will take me(trips in one hour) and were to do them. At this stage i am not really worried about how long its going to take me to reach these goals. Also any advice on better ways to make money, better ores to mine, better fish to catch would be much apreciated. Please note that I am F2P. Thank you in advance! |Tip.it's TOP F.o.G player|Current Goals: 95STR/95ATK/95RANGED|
Low C
Did you learn to never train with expensive skilling gear in a pvp world? Anyways I lost about 6m and decided to fish monks. I made it all back and some, and I now got a santa hat. So, I'd say try fishing.
myself117
Well I just went through fishing about 2k lobs I did 1k about.. maybe 2 or 3 hours? not quite sure, i was AFk'ing the whole time and not paying attention. But for 1k it was about 43-45 trips so you can round up and say it was 50 trips for 3 hours. for say 150 trips it'd be 9 hours for 475 it'd take about 28 hours if my math isn't mistaken, which wouldn't surprise me if it was  Now for yews and mining, I'm not quite sure, but something I've found while playing runescape is this, usually to get 1k of any item it generally takes about the same amount of time. Depending on where your going, and if you tele'ing and such but in general its about the same across most boards. As far as locations.. For lobs -if your a f2p, the only place in karamja. Tele to Fally and hit the range on the way to the bank -for members, you can't go wrong with Catherby, range is on the way to bank too For Yews -F2p would have to be Fally south, the three trees on the south entrance is choice also the yews by Edgeville, or the ones back behind the Varrock castle -Members, probably should use the same places, theres a yew by a bank in the Tree gnome stronghold i think? the grand tree place, theres a Mage tree, yew tree, and a farming patch for a tree, if you'd like to look more into that. For Mining -F2p can either use the mining place under fally, or the crafting guild, tele'ing to Fally after each load. Don't forget a brown apron, which can be bought in the Varrock clothing store. -Members have a alot more places, but one that rings out the most is the huge gold mining place in Keldagrim. I forget the quest, I believe its "Between a rock...Quest". The cave you go into, with the gold helmet to fight the boss, would be a primo spot for gold ore mining. Go in with the helmet and mine to your hearts content, its so massive and ONLY gold ore. Take off your helmet and talk to the dwarf, he'll deliver the gold ore to your bank for you, for a fee of a few ore. BUT with an activated Ring of Charos, you can reduce the fee. Hope that all helps, and good luck  Goals:Str: 86/90Hitpoints: 85/90Fletching: 96/99Fishing: 74/80Prayer: 61/70Woodcutting: 82/85Magic 80/

cat666
If you train on a PVP world then you don't wear high value items and expect losses. You certainly don't teleport to the hub of all the action. If you train range you don't wear plate metal items. Trust the Gene Genie!

wcingisbad
i guess you could superheat for smithing exp. don't know what the profit's like or anything, just putting the idea out there Superheating is a loss of money, at least for steel and mithril bars. Forget about smithing. It is more worthwhile to mine coal or gold alone. For lobs -if your a f2p, the only place in karamja. Tele to Fally and hit the range on the way to the bank -for members, you can't go wrong with Catherby, range is on the way to bank too I'd like to add: cabbage tele then walk to Draynor bank. Use cabbage tele again and make your way back to Karamja. R.I.P. Neko :[5,445,898,965th to 99 WoodcuttingBlogs are dead
