Claremont
TBH, i havnt done a lot of cooking compared to some, im only 86. But I am members, and even i know the time it takes to reach the range/fire is essential. also, apparently ranges burn less then fires, which i why i use the catherby bank/range. deletemeplease
Catherby would be about the best place to cook. If you're not wearing anything, a spottier cape and boots of lightness being best, you can run, cook, and once you're done cooking you'll gain all the run energy back to always be running. Short bank trip too, in full screen you don't have to click the mini-map at all. In the last two weeks I check, going from 70 to 99 cooking using swordfish would cost you around 4.5M
meme79
rouges den is THE best spot. a fire thats always there, the banker is sometimes 1 space from the fire so you can stand of fire and bank, no moveing at all XBL gamertag: SeismicTriangle

transcript80
No the rogues den close to the burthorpe games room. It's in the basement of the pub south of the games room. No level requiremens IIRC, it si a popular place to cook or make fires. Always someone there to chat with. I cooked 3k tunas there last week, not as boring as Catherby, if you ask me. BTW, for the people taht use MTK, tuna can be a nice "free" cooking boost at 100 gp each. Excellent low level training food. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... Navyvet1
One of the best cooking spots for P2P Players is unlocked after completing the Varrock Achievment Diary. The Cooking Guild has a Bank inside with a Range 3 or 4 steps away from it. The close proximity to the GE allows you to cook and sell quickly, while restocking on Raw Fish as needed. Never crowded, since few people take the time to complete it. Unlike at the Rogues Den, you dont have to worry about someone accidentally "Talking" to the banker, which causes him to wander around...throwing off the training until you get him back closer to the fire again. Ranges decrease the % chance of burning what you are cooking, so this is a perfect place to train the skill. I will admit...prior to completing the Varrock Diary, I always chose to cook in the Rogues Den under the bar in Burthorpe. It was very annoying, though, when someone talked to the banker either on accident or just to be a jerk. :shame:
