Some antifire pots (obviously), some sort of antifire shield (duh). Not quite sure on the ratios of taking antifire pots but I'd guess around 10-12. Maybe more.

The best magic attack bonus you can afford, runes for fire wave, an axe, some coins, some runes (and some kind of fire staff) for alching rune items, and a couple of spaces for charms, other items, etc.

Debatable whether you should bring ring of wealth or not, I never quite know whether it'll make a difference to your visage chances.

Generally I would say that this method isn't great for exp, but if it's what you want to do..

^ what he said.

The XP isn't amazing but it beats alching and you break even mostly.

So..You're spending money to get money to spend money on bursting?

You'd be better off keeping the cash and saving up more :wall:

I agree with the poster above, as long as your magic attack bonus is greater than 0, you will be good.

Same with fire runes. I am one of the people stupid enough to bring a staff and alch a whip (three times actually.)

But he wouldn't take whip, so don't bother with fire runes. Also he's using fire wave so a fire staff of some kind is practically a given.

They actually have a good mage defense; at level 81 mage when I first did the task and full Ahrims it was terribly inaccurate. I trhew in that -15% def spell and inf boots at level 92 and it was much better.

Oh, use fire bolt w/ chaos gaunts, and not fire wave.

I do not think so.... Metal Dragons are weak to magic... I find mage hits alot harder and way more accurate than Range........

Mystic GlovesI think barrows are better

Mystic Boots Infinity if you have it, it is wayy better

100 nature runes since hes using fire wave we wont need fire runes, just these natures.

Axe for chopping vines

One click Ardougne Teleport (VITAL!!!!) if you are really stretched for inv space you can not bring this, but it is recommended, however by the time 2k casts is up the drage will be unaggresive.

3-4 Sharks for those times you forget to re dose anti fire.

my comments are in blue.

Armadyl Drops:Armadyl Hilt(trio)

Zamorak Drops: 2xZamorakian spear 3x Steam battlestaff

Fire Wave (bloods) is best.

The gauntlets (chaos) only rise it up to death standards, so you're better off with bloods. Plus the base XP is more.

If you want money and xp wouldn't aviansies be better? They have better drops and apparently have lower mage defence than iron/steels.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
