Question for obby maulers

I was just wondering how long it takes to get from 1-55 slayer with 1 attack. Best weapon you can use is red topaz machete, well until 60 str, then I guess I use obby maul for slayer tasks? For those who don't know, 55 slayer is for slayer's staff which is best weapon a person with 1 att can use.

Stick with the maul; it's better.

If you're not against training ranged or magic, you can cut your time to 55 slayer significantly by doing slayer tasks as a mage or ranger. Then you can use the slayer's staff for strength training (also on slayer if you are interested in continuing to raise it) until you can wield the maul.

yeah, you're right. I'd reccomend raising magic so you can use slayerdart when you get staff. I don't remember, but you might need magic lev. for staff too.

Don't forget you need a mage req for the cast too. Train mage with slayer.

I can only barely get up mage and range or they will affect my combat. I'm 1 att 1 def 60 str right now doing slayer with maul until I get 55. It's probably going to take awhile but I don't think I need mage for the staff unless I'm casting the spell.
