clue help - clocktower monks

well i got a clue to open the chest in the chapel in varrok - i tried to open it, it said "property of clocktower monks" the usual

 

 

 

anywyas, i get over there, and i kill a monk

 

 

 

he drops no key

 

 

 

i talked to and kiled every monk in there a few times over! no key! what do i do?

You got over WHERE? The Clocktower? Maybe it's not working because you're not in the right place. The locked chest said "Property of the Clocktower Monastery", NOT "property of clocktower monks". That means you have to kill a monk in the Monastery to the Southeast of the Clocktower, not kill a monk in the Clocktower.

I was merely trying to point out that in your original question, you said you were over "there" killing monks, which when you read your question, makes it SOUND like you were at the Clocktower.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That's not the same thing as monks at the monastery. There are monks in the Clocktower as well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Since you NOW say that you've been killing monks at the Monastery and you're not getting a key, well then, maybe you should check your inventory. Do you have the clue with you? If you don't, you won't get the key.

srry i didnt mean to be rude, yes i had the clue with me, no i didnt get a key drop, no there was no key in my inventory
