November 15, 200817 yr Hey, i was wondering what to do for 58-60 smithing and 58-68 fishing! Money isnt really that big of a deal. I was thinking of doing cannonballs and was wondering this: 1: does this method still make money? If so, how much? 2: are there any better ways to quickly raise smithing? And about fishing: 1: is lobbies better for raising it or is it better to do swordies? 2: Does fly fishing work very fast at raising levels? Thanks in advance, Scouterzach1 Current Goals:96/99 Dungeoneering2300+/2496 total
November 15, 200817 yr i dont know about smithing (only 54) and im f2p but i fly fished 95% of my 67 fishing so its definately fastest. 1100 total achieved 03/02/09 880thousandth to reach it :P1200 total achieved 29/09/11 1.23millionth to reach it :P
November 15, 200817 yr Last time i did cannonballs, it was still making money, but it's so massively slow it's really not worth it if you don't mind losing a bit of cash. Best thing if money's no real object is to make the best platebodies you can. Might want to check that for xp wise, but think it's a fair bit quicker. Otherwise, high level smithers that I know have told me to simply make the highest level item you can.
November 15, 200817 yr Author so would steel plates be the best to do? And if i make my own nats, would it be profitable to alch them? Current Goals:96/99 Dungeoneering2300+/2496 total

Yea it does But not like before but it is profit right... 2. I suggest blast furance its very fast in a themed world friend said it was faster/funnier then smelting in edge with the varrock amour 1. Do lobbies u wont always get swordies u get tuna as well Tuna isnt selling to great atm Lobbies are steady xp or do fly fishing 2. Yea but it gets teduis dont do this if your not a patient person do this in shilo village or in ftp barb village trading away or banking your fish
November 15, 200817 yr so would steel plates be the best to do? And if i make my own nats, would it be profitable to alch them? Yeah, i THINK steel plates would be best, that's what i did at your level for the most part. (Switching to cannonballs simply to make some cash) Let me check on the profitability. I'll post back in a sec if no-ones else answers that. You going o buy from ores or bars to make them?
November 15, 200817 yr Author ya i would buy ores and make them, then alch them probably Current Goals:96/99 Dungeoneering2300+/2496 total
November 15, 200817 yr Smithing: Gold w/ Gauntlets. Anything else isn't worth it at your level. Fishing: Barbarian Fishing That would be the FASTEST way, if you want to make money: Smithing: Iron Bars w/ Ring. Don't do cballs, iron bars beats it in xp and money. Fishing: Lobsters ~It's Super Effective! (The Zaaps Blog)~My YouTube Channel, where you get to watch me go around and make a fool out of myself and all comp capersGuides:~Yeah I wrote them once~Suggestions:~Yeah I made those once~
November 15, 200817 yr My maths could be a little wrong here, but don't think it is. 5 x 95 = 475 (iron for 1 plate body) 10 x 171 = 1710 (coal for 1 plate body) = 2185 If you take into account pure essence for making your own nats = 155 = 2340 2340 - 1200 (high alch value) = 1140 loss. You will make a loss unless you mine ores yourself, but if cash is no real option, this will be a lot quicker than cannonballs. Otherwise, I would recommend switching between the two like i did.
