I got the Slayer task of nearly 200 Greater Demons. Which spell should I use against them and about how many casts will I need (roughly)?

greater demons have 92 hp. seeing that you have a high lvl magic, it would take about 8 hits to kill them with fire bolt(1 chaos,4 fires,3 airs). so you would need about aprox 1.6 k chaos runes and 6.4k fires,using an air staff. definitely use magic gauntlets

Why are you maging greater demans?

Ranging is far more effective if your going to use any form of distance fighting against them.

Ehh, just thought I'd get my Magic up since I got sick of alching a looong time ago. :) What ranged methods would you recommend?

Nah. Knives would do the trick.

 

Try tanking though - could work.

 

 

 

Other than that; if you want to train mage wait for the right task - a task that could easily pay majority of the costs back or more.

I slay them in the orge town behind the cage with bronze arrows if I ever get a greater demons task.

Thats smart, yet stupid.

 

 

 

Im sure Zierro would like the Crimson charms that they drop - but wasting a law every single crimson isnt teh best..
