basiliko
It will diseased at any time, but there is a timer that will remind you to cure it before it runs to zero. The Haraguroi Club: Where Yandere Thrive for Chopping
Kellis
How in the world would it get diseased before you plant it . . . . ? Basically, anything you grow has a chance of getting diseased. If you catch it, you can treat it with some plant cure (25 gp from farmers or 40 gp from the shop next to the patch), and it will be restored to health. If you don't treat it, then it will soon die and you will need to use a shovel to clear out the patch in order to grow any more crops. Disease is based upon whether you use any compost or supercompost on the patch before planting the herbs (supercompost is ALWAYS recommended). Since herbs can't be watched by farmers and don't need to be watered, there's little else you can do. It is very useful if only using one patch while grinding to bind a farming amulet to the patch. The amulet will vibrate (produces a noise and a notification in the chat box) when the herb either becomes diseased or is fully grown and ready for harvesting. If you've got the Explorer's Ring 3 and just want to have one herb growing for you to check daily or so (requires almost no time, maybe <10 minutes a day), there's a herb patch, flower patch (marigolds are easy to grow and sell for 3k each because they're needed for Bull Ant summoning pouches), and allotment directly north of the cabbage teleport. Also, keep in mind that to get to some of the most profitable herbs (ranarr, toadflax, kwuarm, snapdragon) you'll need to have a decent farming level (33 for ranarrs, everything else is above that). Again, if using the Explorer's Ring 3 method, simply plant some low crops like potatoes or onions, pay the farmer to watch over them, and dig them up when you stop by for a free 100-200 farming experience per allotment patch when you harvest the herbs. Put the potatoes into sacks to pay for the onions, then dump the onions into the compost bin to make compost to pay for more potatoes. It will quickly increase your level up high enough to focus on the real money-earning herbs.
sir_bubbabob
I'd recommend getting an amulet of nature. That way you can use it on one of your herb patches, and it will tell you if that patch is diseased. You don't even have to wear the amulet, just have it in your inventory. If your patch gets diseased, you can use it to teleport back to your patch to cure it.
cookie1762
The herb patch in troll stronghold is a disease free patch, long way but well worth it if you need high level herbs. Just plant and leave it. : http://sign.tip.it/1/6/24/304/lady_scm.png Drops/Clue Finds:Shield left half: 1,Dragon plateskirt: 1, Warrior's Helm: 1, Obsidian Cape: 1, Robin Hood Hat: 1, Dragon Platelegs: 1, Dragon Boots: 4, Amulet of Ranging:
Sam
What the hell is Diease? Lol, just kidding. Plants/herbs or whatever can get diseased at any time - it may be a good idea to get an amulet of nature. It may be a good idea to check out theFarming Skillguide - it'll probably have a small section on diseased plants & how you can cure them. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
