To answer your query, if you're 13 or over you can go to pg-13. If you're under 13 but accompanied by a parent / guardian you can see it.

You don't have to be 13 to see a PG 13 movie. They only check id for rated R, unless you are obviously too young to see a PG 13 (as in look under 10).

Question answered (refer to Quoi_Tu's reply for the most correct answer). Unless you look really young, as a rule of thumb you will never be asked for photo ID for movies rated under R. You can also be accompanied by an adult (or in some jurisdictions, a person aged 16+) to a PG-13 movie even if you are a few years under the age limit.
