Best way for training smithing?

I have done the iron ore smelting, and I liked it. I was just wondering if there was a faster way. I'm going to smith iron ores in the edgeville furnace(the one that requires varrock armour) and wear all of my weight reducing gear. Would this be a good strategy?

Edgy furnace messes up your ring of forging because you could forge two iron bars at once with one ring charge. Messes up the whole 5-invies-per-ring system. I personally stick with al-kharid for smelting iron, don't have to worry so much about switching out the rings.

Iron bars are probably the way to go. If you want more afkness, go for the cannonballs. 25 exp and 150 gp profit per steel bar used isn't too bad (except it takes 3 or 4 seconds for each steel bar)

I think the best compromise between speed and exp is making ranged ammo. Iron knives, steel arrowtips, mith bolts, and addy bolts. You do lose a bit of money, but I'm not sure how much.

Dorcus is right, but using Al Kharid for smelting iron is not very smart. You have to run a long way from the bank to the furnace. Smelt in Port Phasmatys instead, the furnace is even closer to a bank than in Edgevillle. You can't use the Varrock armour there though.

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.
