Tsai
Okay, I'm not entirely sure wether this should go here but I'm just a noob-mod so I'm going to post it anyhow! :P Anyways, I've been searching for a better Graphics card for my Laptop (Toshiba Sattelite) Currently I have this to play my games: 768 MB Ram (Works for me) 2.7 ghZ CPU (Works for me) 32 MB Graphics card (This is where the problems start occuring :P ) I've been searching like crazy to find a better graphics card, (Yes I checked mycom, wich is the dutch advised site at Herr' sticky.) I -have- seen laptops available with graphics cards of 128 mb, that would be perfect for my needs but I can NOT seem to find a store that sells the components, instead of the whole laptop.. Any ideas? :( Sincerely, Desperate Tsai
Pyro
Upgrading laptop components is difficult, especially graphics cards and processors. Graphics cards can be of different sizes and use different bus-standards, so you'll need one that is compatible with your computer. I would not recomend upgrading it at all to be honest, since the risk of fairly high of getting components that for one reason or another do not fit. Sweex
You can only upgrade a graphics card on a laptop if it is supposed to be upgraded, Rock laptops can do this. If you just have a standard laptop, Packard Bell, HP/Compaq etc... You can't, the Video chipset is built onto the board. So in turn you'd need a new laptop with a better graphics chipset. If you only want to upgrade the amount of memory it uses, try accessing the BIOS and using more system RAM on the graphics. Most laptops including mine can do this up to around 128MB.
