November 29, 200817 yr I'm wondering if anybody has a conservative estimate on the money per hour on buying iron/coal and converting it to steel bars. edit- and exp would be nice but if you don't know thats fine. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature. ^^^At least I'm not the only crazy one
November 29, 200817 yr i dont think that anyone can really provide this information. But perhaps u should try or estimate. think of it this way. How much money r u making per trip to bank.if 2/3 of u inventory is coal and 1/3 is iron then that would be 9 iron and 18 coal. this would make 9 bars which u multiply to the cost of right now. I believe it would be in the ball park of 600gp ish (look in GE for exact price) that will be the profit u make per trip. then just think of it as how many trips u can do per hour. or half hour times 2. but i dont really think in terms of hours but in terms of trips. Ask urself how many trips can u do per day and lets say it 7 if u dont play much then just multiply 7 times 9 (which is bars per trip) then x that to the cost of a bar. grinding on the weekdays ftw
November 29, 200817 yr If you are doing this for money, it isnt efficient If you are doing this for smithing xp, wont work well either.
November 29, 200817 yr Assuming you are buying all coals and nats while mining only irons. 1k Steel (Mining Exp: 35000, Smithing Exp: 17500, Magic Exp: 53000): 1. If you mine in east varrock mine for 1k iron--around 80mins (though it is possible to achieve 65min per 1k irons) 2. Superheat your bars at bank (deposit and withdraw)--around 112 mins (assuming you take 1 min per 9 bars) Now find your average speed and calculate from data above The Haraguroi Club: Where Yandere Thrive for Chopping
November 29, 200817 yr i timed 80-90k/hr a while ago via al kharid smelting.. but this was a while ago (even before ge) so the prices might be change.. ]
