Does the new armor from that quest work at the Tormented Wraith?

 

 

 

It's easy to get back if I lose it, and there's less a chance I'm going to die in two seconds if I forget to sip prayer. Would be a nice development.

The armor does work with Tormented Wraith and you will have harder time of getting the armor if you lost it (it is a rare drop by Elite Black Guards)

I had the fancy idea of camping at the guards and alching the plates; since the first set came through so easily.

 

 

 

If they're hard to recoup, I'll stick to "normal" black armor, since it's a cheaper rebuy.

Great question btw! That's great info to know! In my research, its not easy to get back the dagonhai robes either along with the elite armor. I think they will stay in my bank a while, lol!

I dont know whether it is a bug or some thing else. The first elite armor set is always a common drop (tested with my friends), but the second set and onward will become rare drop. If you have lost/destory/drop the set during the quest, you wont have third chance.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the reason the first set is a common drop is because it's part of the quest and designed for the player to get the 3 pieces of armor from the first 3 guards you kill. It's not a coincidence or luck that you got all 3 pieces right away. Now getting extra pieces is different story.

I may be wrong but I am hearing different things about reacquiring elite of dagon'hai robes. It seems as if it may only be possible to purchase them from other players. In other words you can only get them during the quest (one time), that's it.

I do not believe that you can get the robes, or armour set again by killing the monsters. Although i have not done the quest several people on TIF have reported that this is true. Many have killed hundreds and not recieved a drop, so I wouldnt risk your armour at the moment. Especially as there being bought with junk for upwards of 5m.

I looked into it further and according to another site a "J-mod" confirmed in a official post that the elite black armor pieces are "rare drops" from elite knights after the quest.

 

 

 

EDIT: not sure about D'H robes though :-s
