Antifire potion warning - Metal Dragon guide etc

Recommended Posts

I've found a few updates that might not have made it to the main site.

In the "Hidden Updates" forum topic, under August 2008, there's a comment about antifire potions now giving visual evidence that the potion has worn out. In the Monster Hunting : Iron/Steel Dragons section, there is a part that talks about looking carefully for a word at the end of a chat box line, but I don't think that's the same visual clue as what the update is mentioning.

In the Summoning guide, under "Other Pets" the pet used in While Guthix Sleep is listed as N/A and the quest is incorrectly labeled As Guthix Sleeps. On that same page under the eggs section, it lists that you cannot have more than one Godbird at a time, but a hidden updates March 2008 note mentions that you can.

Need more info before we can make changes.

1. I haven't had time to fight a dragon in three months. I know there was a change. I don't have the wording. A little bitty jpg would be super.

2. I would have agreed with you that a person could have more than one godbird. But I was told quite vociferously last week by a player who tried and could not. So ... we need confirmation info from someone who actually has more than one.

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.

I have almost grown my Saradomin Bird to an Owl, I will be willing to test if I can have another chick when it gets adult.

I think ill try with a Guthix bird, I have eggs to spare.

EDIT: My Saradomin Bird grew to an Owl and I took an egg and went to the pet shop. When I used the egg on the incubator it promptly gives me this message:

"You already have that kind of pet, you cannot have another."

I guess this proves that you can't have 2 god birds definitively.

EDIT AGAIN: Just to be specific, I tried using a Red Egg, while I had a Sara owl in the bank.

In the bird case, the hidden update is then proved false.

I haven't fought a dragon yet, but as I mentioned, you wouldn't have to...just use an anti-fire potion. It's the potion visual clue that is supposedly changed, not the dragon's fire on your player. It is supposed to give a visual clue that the effect has run out, at least according to the "hidden updates" forum topic.

It looks like that Iron/Steel Dragon guide needs a slight tweak to that tactics portion about the antifire potion.

[hide=FIXED]Has the "As Guthix Sleeps" been changed to "While Guthix Sleeps" yet?

(I wonder if it is a gentle nod to "While My Guitar Gently Weeps")[/hide]
