December 7, 200817 yr I know it's a long journey to 99, but I have a question. I've heard the fastest way to train fishing is to fly fish. However, there are two efficient spots to fly fish; Shilo Village, and the west of Fishing Guild/sell to Roaloso method. Both are claimed to be more quick than the other. So, which one is the fastest? I don't want a profit, just the fastest possible experience. Thanks! -Skill EDIT: This is my 777th post! Bungie would be proud! =D
December 7, 200817 yr If you can get spots across from the shilo bank, shilo. However, if you plan to drop your fish it really doesn't matter which spot you use.
December 7, 200817 yr The fastest xp would be barb fishing?(with the heavy rod) and you'll also get cooking/agility/str xp.
December 8, 200817 yr I used the fly fishing method from levels 94 to 99. I thought it was rather fast. I don't recommend that you do barb fishing because you still have to drop the roe and/or caviar that you get when you cut them.

As for fly fishing, you should just heavy rod or monks but, if you must i don't think it makes much difference. I'd go shilo, probably will give you slightly more cash with little difference in XP.

I don't recommend that you do barb fishing because you still have to drop the roe and/or caviar that you get when you cut them. You don't need to drop them. You use them as bait. I do recommend that you do heavy rod powerfishing. It's about 10k xp/hr faster than fly fishing and far more efficient. Fly fishing is only better if you value your income at under about 170k gp/hr. And that's not including the agility, strength, and cooking xp, which would bring that number down even further when you add them in. If you're honestly that poor, which you aren't, then fly fishing is far less efficient than monkfish anyway. Besides, the spots are waaay closer together than at Shilo. You don't need to run around to find the new one when the spot moves. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
