F2P mage pker. 10 Def for fog gear or not?

Featured Replies

Me and a friend both made f2p pkers a short while ago and I am wondering if the mage bonus from the fog gear is worth the 2.5 combat levels id get for the 10 def levels?

My current stats are 37 magic and 27 Hp, every other combat skills is level 1.

Personally, I'd advise against it, as the Combat levels in which the F2P Mage dominate are small enough as it is. [it starts to go downhill by level 45...] 59 Magic also tends to be easily enough to bind as it is, so the robes aren't neccessary.

Also, once you tire of mage Pking, you can turn the account into a nice and efffective pure, without wasting all the time and energy you took in raising their magic to 59+.

Hope that helped. ;)

I would not be for it. If you decide to make that pker something else after you get out of the "mage owning" combat lvl, you will be sort of screwed. Both a rune scim and range can tear through that 10 def at higher levels (and by higher levels I don't mean 60+, I mean 40+).

Well if that's the case I will stay at 1 def for the time being. Thank you both vary much for the answers.

10 def does so much for you! [/sarcasm]

seriously just stay 1def. it wont kill off combat levels and 10def doesnt really defense you.

Stay 1 defence, get runecrafter robe. Fine magic attack bonus, and you only need 1 defence for it. ;)
