Frustration through randomosity?

What makes a clan look like a good one to join while you browse through ads? Me and another one of my friends both left the clan we'd been in at the same time, to go and start up a new one. Now, about a week later, he's got 15+ members recruited, and I've gotten 2 that don't include the ones who joined up with me to help start it up.

So, what kinds of things are looked for? Is there some place that I haven't been going to advertise or are my forums ugly??

It's a little bit frustrating, with all the hard work involved in starting up a clan, I've logged into Runescape for maaayybe half an hour in about a week and a half, and been working on the clan for 15-20 hours. I've done everything I know of, and now I look for help :D

That's where you come in xD

a couple of suggestions.

1. Find p[eople you really trust, even if its one person, and get that person to help you. Have them recruit in the game, etc, (just dont post your websites or break jagex rules)

2. Find someone who is decent at wed development, and getthem to help your forums look cool, or attractive.

im sure thats not the best advice but it always seemed to work for me

Get a really active core, with it you can make your staff, and it can keep you from falling too low and have to close the clan.

Try to find no-lifers that have lots of active rs friends that need a clan :)

Recruiting is difficult, to say the least. As your clan gets more known, however, things will improve. Just try to recruit friends and people you meet ingame, that is the way to go at the beginning.
