I want to turn my main into a tank...

 

 

 

I have 53 range and 47 def, I'm planning for 74 range

 

 

 

The question i have is, what should my DEF be? 60? 70? 80?, I'm planning on 70.

 

 

 

EDIT: I want enough def to not be hit in rune chain, rune full, dhide legs and to be labeled as a extremely anoying def n00b in melee

At 74 range you should have it around 65 and if you get 70 then raise your range.

A proper ranged tank is 1 attack, 1 strength, 99 defense, 99 ranged, 99 prayer. :

 

 

 

Since you have strength/attack levels I would say you might as well just train all your skills normally or make a new account.

Nah, you can still be range based with 70 something attack and strenth. Training to 99 def with ranged would be torture.

wait so is this f2p or p2p... im training a tank too and i dont know if everyones telling me 70 def for mem or 70+ def for either. i understand now tanks have str and atk so you can train def easier (though it should be low enough so you dont become mostly melee instead of range) but the def levels are a mystery to me since i always thought 40 was the max it should be in f2p
