RayOxide
Say I wanted to lend you xx item for say 200k for 24 hours. Noone can trade 200k gp in a minute without putting an item up, so usually someone puts up an item that is easy to get and has a decent value into the trade, but doesnt sell. Certain items are easy to get by trading stores. I dont need a siggy no moar.
AndyPandy
If person A wants to buy something far 500k over what it is worth on the Grand Exchange, and Player B will sell it. Player B needs some 'Junk' (items which won't sell on the grand exchange, but have a decent value on there, maple longbows (u) are a good example. Maple logs cost around 50 each, and the unstrung bows are 100 each but will not sell on the Grand Exchange, therefore people use them). Player B adds 500k worth of his junk to the trade, along with the item. The trade looks like this, let's say the item price on the G.E is 1M. Player A : 1.5M Player B: Item + 500k worth of junk This makes the trade balanced. Ask if you need any more help. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. Bashful
hrm.. but then wont the seller have to buy the junk? therefore he'll be getting less than 1.5M for that item?
ultimatballr
hrm.. but then wont the seller have to buy the junk? therefore he'll be getting less than 1.5M for that item? Not necessarily. Junk is usually something that is left over from training. For example I just got done getting 99 wc now I have 45k willow logs that would probably take a month to sell all in GE.. so I will just keep them and use as junk. Junk can also be something that you got from killing monsters. A majority of my junk is addy and rune javs which never sell in GE. Along with poison rune knives things like that. Yet another way to get junk, which is like you said going to cost you. Is to make it intentionally. For example. You buy 1k maple logs. Min price for log is 36 max is 38. So will be spending 36k-38k You fletch those into maple longbows (u) Min price for maple long (u) is 144, max price is 152. Now you have 144k-152k worth of junk. Minus the cost of the logs 36-38k equals 108k-114k total junk. Apparently, my signature was to big.
liv_2_kill
Honestly, i just can't grasp the positive of trading junk... Like junk is virtually un-tradable so why would you want it?
