dre2
Hi fellow players! My name is dre2, I've been playing RuneScape since the classic version back in 2001 or something dunno exactly when RuneScape came out. But it was when the player models still were in 2D and buildings in slight 3D. :P Well I feel I lack a lot in skills especially in combat because I've been away from RuneScape since the transaction from RS Classic to RS in full 3D. I think I trained my combat to 65 before I left the game for something else, studies, school, work and such. Then I've been in and out training some combat to level 73. Then I took a break again and now I'm back since 2 - 3 months ago and been playing and training different skills, a lot of combat. But I was F2P during the whole time so I trained to combat lvl 84. Since I've been P2P now for almost 25 days. P2P for the first time and I think I do pretty good at gaining levels in the new skills. But I want to train my combat even higher since I think it should be over 110 at least since it has gone more than 5 - 6 years I started my account. On F2P I trained Strength, Attack, Defence and Hitpoints against Moss Giants on Crandor Island. From 73 Combat Level to 84 Combat Level on 2 - 3 months. Also gained level in prayer from 38 to 50. The question is what should I train on with my skills I have right now? Should I still be fighting against Moss Giants or are there any more effective monsters to gain experience from. I don't want any hard monsters because I'm not very good at controlling my character when in crisis :P When I mean hard, like poison monster. Because then you have to use anti poison also with food. I usually bring armour and food. And no monsters above level 95 or so.. Might be too hard I dunno. LOL! My stats you see below: For full XP Attack LVL 65 XP 469,021 Defence LVL 70 XP 751,472 Strength LVL 70 XP 785,791 Hitpoints LVL 68 XP 656,199 Prayer LVL 50 XP 106,524 Magic LVL 53 XP 147,137 Range LVL 42 - Not Ranked yet I'm an experienced inexperienced player if you can call it that.. I know the basics from Classic RuneScape. But lot of things has changed and I'm not very familiar with all P2P monsters yet. Best regards, dre2
AndyPandy
Okay, one thing I would suggest first is cutting out the story. All you need to say is 'I've been away for a long time, and I need some help with what to train on'. People may be put off by the amount of text. Anyway, best for you would probably be giant spiders for speed, or green dragons for slightly slower exp and profit. Spiders drop nothing, so you make no money, but they are very fast. Dragons are a good balance. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. Bashful
hrm.. try slayer? but then i think the low lvl mobs from turael will probably get you bored in no time. fire giants are pretty good. =)

I will skip it the next time :) Do you mean one of these Giant Spiders I can't seem to find any info about them, they have lower HP than Moss Giants and the drop information is none. gun_hippy
Here's my advice: Do slayer until level 65 or so, that's where it tails off and starts getting really hefty for improvements, and you unlock a bunch of useful monsters. Also, this will beef up your combat stats to the poitn where you can start power training properly, because you shold have the levels to make good use of everything, and a little cash to keep you going. THEN start contemplating really fast methods, such as zombie monkeys or whatever everybody does these days.
AndyPandy
They have lower hp, but they auto attack for around 20 minutes, so you can browse the interwebs while you train, and it's fast too. They don't have any drops, it's a bit of a trade off, no drops for more speed. Slayer is a brilliant idea also, as bash + gun said. I can't beleive I forgot that. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. dre2
Why does it say: "Southwest of the Eastern Ruins(lvl 25)" On Green Dragons location in wilderness when I look at the map here on tip.it they are marked south east of the Eastern Ruins. East of the Clan Wars house.
AndyPandy
There are 3 different locations for them. Exodus_Flesh
The first order of business if you are looking to train 'combat' in general.. Train your attack! At 70, you will be able to weild the most efficient overall training weapon in the game- the Abbysal whip. Seeing as you may not have the funds to buy it.. You should probably train those 5 required levels at a profitable monster. As suggested, Green dragons are a great balance of profit and experience, and should fund you enough for the 1.4 million coins required. There are plenty of guides which explain on how to kill them, and what is required.. Just search through the Archive of Wisdom subsection for one. This is a decent one. viewtopic.php?f=180&t=731302 Good luck in your training, and feel free to ask other questions if you don't like my advice. ~Zackdt
kdtaereo
Slayer isn't profitable and good xp as the other methods, but the great thing about that is that you're not going to do repetitive things for longs amounts of time, and when you level slayer, you unlock new monsters with nice drops. Good Luck with your training : lol zacKDT  are you my brother? jk @santana_raphaelI'm retired from Runescape due to my really bad connection, maybe coming back soon
Exodus_Flesh
My brother doeess play RS, and does pop in on 'Forsakenmage' CC, but I don't think you are him.. Sorry to say. ;) Slayer will be a very good option for you after you have 70 Attack and a Whip. Although, my original post gives you an idea of where I think you should start, from where you are right now. Slayer will be trained much more smoothly from 70+ all Melee's, and with a whip, than if you were to start right now. ~Zackdt
