Summer's End

I never thought I'd see the day that I'd die on a quest. Let a lone EIGHT TIMES.... This quest is really starting to make me mad. I'm still in the first room. I was following the guide and put logs on all of the pyres before lighting them, but after I lit the first two, I died. So now every time I go back, they monster is shooting his magic at me at its highest.

I've been using energy potions, bringing lots of food, teleports, rings of life, nothing to weigh me down, games necklaces, praying protect from magic, the works, but I keep getting caught in the center of those fricking magic beams. And when I try to run, I run into one of the scattered ones.

So does anyone have any help? I'm level 103 combat, but please don't tell me I'm too low leveled to do it because getting my quest cape back is all I have really been doing since I started Runescape up again(I left for about 9 months so I had a few quests piled up). I thought Dealing with Scabaras was bad, but I think this is the hardest quest I have done  And what's worse is after this quest, I have 5 more that are rated hard, too (including WGS).

So any help?

The way i did it was adding logs to two fires at once. Add longs to one, wait for him to target you then run to another when he fires. Then run back to first one when he goes at you again etc.

Big thanks to Stevepole for the signature!^

basically have all the logs in the pyre first then light

use the ooglog pools if you have it

Just make sure you STAY running. You gotta be 5 or so squares away from the center of impact to escape damage.

This probably isn't smart, but I used Sara Brews (I had a few lying around). Perhaps try those?

Btw mage pray doesn't do anything.

Yeah that is pretty much what I did at first and it worked out. But I only have one fire left to light and his blasts are more powerful and scatter more with a longer range. But I guess all I can do is do what you said, but with the roots?

Yeah I haven't done that quest. I need to get my hunter up one more level :s I'm just finishing up the quests I have the stats for.

It isn't putting the logs in the fire that I have trouble with. It is cutting the roots as you don't chop one of the logs on your first try. I have 99 wc, but I still don't get them right away.

The problem is that he usually blasts his beam before I can get a log.

Yeah I think I'm gonna try brews. I don't need the attack and strength levels anyways. But prayer did seem to help. Without it, he was hitting constant 30s. With it, he is hitting 16-22.
